In 2023, Patrick Rohner joined the management team. With his extensive expertise and diverse skill set, he has further strengthened our company and continues to play a key role in driving its ongoing development.

Today, soundtherm offers a comprehensive range of services, delivering tailored and innovative solutions in the fields of building physics, acoustics, and energy. Our commitment to technical excellence and customer-focused solutions remains at the heart of everything we do.

In 2018, soundtherm opened a branch office at Technopark Winterthur. This location, with its inspiring coworking environment, provides an ideal setting for innovation, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas.

The office benefits from close interaction with researchers from the ZHAW research institutes, as well as with innovative start-ups, spin-offs, and established companies based at Technopark. This dynamic environment fosters valuable professional exchange and supports the development of forward-looking solutions.

A few years later, Michael Oberholzer, an experienced building physicist, joined forces with Luboš, bringing extensive expertise in the field of classical building physics. Combining technical excellence with an entrepreneurial mindset, they founded soundtherm GmbH in 2013, with its headquarters in Schlattingen, Canton of Thurgau.

The establishment of the company marked an important milestone and laid the foundation for soundtherm’s continued growth and long-term development.

As Head of the Building Acoustics and Room Acoustics Group at Empa in Dübendorf, Luboš Krajči conducted fundamental research while also lecturing part-time at several universities, including HSLU, HTW, and BBW.

Despite his academic and professional achievements, the trained building physicist was eager to apply his expertise to practical, real-world challenges. This entrepreneurial ambition led to the founding of K+I GmbH in 2008, marking the beginning of his journey as an independent consultant and entrepreneur.
